Since October 8, Shenzhen Airport has tightened its security checks at the domestic and international departure halls. All people who enter the airport must now go through an anti-explosives security check at the entrance and a number of entrances have been temporarily closed or restricted to one-way traffic.
In addition, the tunnels leading to the A and B terminals have also been closed for security reasons; passengers who arrive by metro must now enter and exit from the first floor. Airlines have been advising travelers to arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of their scheduled flight.
