Shanghai to Ease Traffic with More Metro Lines

According to news from a relevant department of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Shanghai is going to start a new metro construction project to ease urban traffic. As a start, construction of the second phase of Metro line 11 (Jiangsu Road station to Luoshan Road station) will start at the end of December and is planned to be finished in 2012.

According to statistics, Shanghai metro passenger flow has increased by one million every year in the last few years and the highest daily passenger flow even reaches 7.548 million.
