Shanghai to Beijing High-Speed Trial Run Reaches Capital in Less than 5 Hours

At 8:45 May 11th, the long anticipated Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway started a one-month trial operation from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. According to reports, nine trains without passengers left for Beijing today. The fastest train only stopped at one station, and the whole journey from Shanghai to Beijing only took 4 hours and 48 minutes.
