Shanghai and Hangzhou Launches Intercity Charter Coaches to Expo
May 18, 2010 By eChinacities.com

On May 18th, the first charter coach headed for the World Expo in Shanghai has started servicing tourists traveling from Hangzhou. Tickets are 48 RMB/person and are reported to have been 30% less than the usual fare for those traveling between the cities on similar buses. The charter coach between the cities are in no doubt very convenient for tourists looking to visit the Expo park but are also beneficial for those that just want to travel between the two cities for other purposes – as the Expo coaches also make stops along the way at various spots in downtown Shanghai.

One of the highlights for these Expo coaches is the fact that they are serviced by 10 German-made Kassbohrer Setra buses and tourists will be able to experience services typical of airliners when traveling aboard these luxury coach buses.
