Refund spots for the Shanghai Public Transportation Card have now increased to 114 locations; airports, railway stations, long-distance bus terminal, the Pudong Airport Maglev Ticket Center, Chongming South Gate Ferry Terminal and others now have new refund locations. In addition, beginning November 1st, according to the formal implementation of the new "Shanghai Bus and Tram Passenger Management Regulations", passengers who use the transport card can refuse to pay the fare if they are not able to swipe the card due to machine failure.
