Shanghai Subway Trains Crash

Services to part of Shanghai’s Subway Line 1 were stopped due to a fault in the circuit at 5:50am on Dec. 22nd. During the repair run at about 7am, train No. 150 on Subway Line 1 overran the signal and crashed into train No. 117 which was returning from the Shanghai Railway Station. No one was injured as train No. 117 was empty and both trains were running slowly. It’s the first subway accident in Shanghai and halted service to part of the line for more than five hour, disrupting the travels of thousands of Shanghai residents.
