On the evening of March 18th, a male passenger refused the security check when taking Shanghai Metro Line 3 at Yan’an West Road Station. He broke in by force and began strangling a 22-year-old female security officer who managed to stop him. The security officer lost consciousness as a result. The man was consequently arrested on the suspicion of intentional harm to the security officer.
