On April 7th, American Airlines opened a daily direct passenger flight (AA182) from Shanghai Pudong Airport to Los Angeles. The flight takes off at 21:45 from Shanghai and arrives in Los Angles at 18:40 the next day. The return flight takes off at 15:10 and reaches Shanghai at 19:45 the next day. American Airlines stated that the airfare for the round trip only costs 3288 RMB during the initial stage of the new flight.
