Shanghai-Nanjing High Speed Rail Tickets Valid for 24 Hours
Jul 01, 2010 By eChinacities.com

The Shanghai-Nanjing High Speed Rail opened officially July 1st; ticket sales began June 25th. Tickets for the newly opened high speed rail are valid for 24 hours on the same day, so passengers can reschedule their tickets, for the same day, if they miss their original train. Railway passengers will still have to request a change of ticket at the designated counter at the station. If you try to board a different train with your original ticket the ticketing machines will recognize it as expired and reject it.
