Shanghai Expo Stirs up Hotel Opening Trends

The estimated flow of 70 million people to the 2010 Shanghai Expo has become a great business opportunity for hotels in Shanghai. The Peninsula Shanghai was opened in October and the InterContinental Hotel was open in November. The second Ritz-Carlton is scheduled to open at Lujiazui ahead of the Expo in 2010. A total of 55 star hotels will be completed in Shanghai in 2010.
