Shanghai Chongming Wetland May Charge Entrance Fee

The number of tourists to Chongming has increased sharply since the Yangtze River Tunnel was opened to traffic, bringing great pressure to the environmental protection of Chongming as well as to its tourist reception. Xisha Wetland is planning to charge an entrance fee in order to cut down on the tourist numbers and limiting visitors to 10,000 per day.
