Shanghai, Beijing, and Tianjin have Fastest Internet in China

China’s internet has almost doubled in speed in the past year, according to the latest report by the Broadband Development Alliance. The average download speed in China is now 7.9Mb/s.

Shanghai, Beijing, and Tianjin have the fastest internet in all of China. Shanghai recorded download speeds of 11.11Mb/s, and Beijing was at 9.79 Mb/s. In Sichuan, Liaoning, Shandong, Henan, and 13 other provinces, download speeds are 8 Mb/s or more.

In the third quarter, Chinese users spent an age of 2.18 seconds on a web page when browsing the internet for fun.
