A commemorative concert for Romanian conductor Sergiu Celibidache will be held at the Wuhan Music Academy on December 8. Celibidache (1912-1996) was considered one of the finest conductors in the world. He led the French National Symphony orchestra from 1973-1987, and also often conducted Germany’s Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic.

When: Dec 2-7, 09:00-12:00,14:00-17:00 (orchestra rehearsals); Dec 8, 14:00 (film on Sergiu Celibidache), 19:30 (Sergiu Celibidache commemorative concert)
