Security Tightens at Beijing Airport: Security Checks at Terminal Entrances
Jul 26, 2013 By eChinacities.com

In the wake of last weekend’s homemade bombing incident, Beijing Capital Airport is stepping up its security. Regardless of whether people are flying or not, all passengers must now go through security checks at the entrance to the airport’s terminals. The checks will see airport staff use explosive-detection sticks on passengers’ luggage.

The passage from the parking lot to the entrance of terminal three is now closed, so passengers entering from the parking lot must first enter the second floor for a security check before heading on to the fourth level.

In light of these changes, make sure you arrive at the airport earlier than normal to avoid missing your flight.
