Seaplanes will be a brand new choice for Shenzhen passengers wishing to travel to other cities in the Pearl River Delta. Construction of Shenzhen Airport’s dock has been completed and will be put into operation in March. It is estimated that seaplane routes from Shenzhen to the pan Pearl River Delta areas including Hong Kong, Macao and Guangzhou will be launched in the fourth season of 2010. The cost of taking the seaplanes to the above mentioned cities will be cheaper than taking helicopters, which costs more than 2000 RMB. There are currently no seaplanes for commercial use in China. Such seaplanes are mostly in some internationally famous tourist resorts in only about ten countries and regions. It will be a breakthrough when the seaplanes are put into use in Shenzhen.
