Sanya and Shenzhen Top China “Recreation Index” Ranking

The first report on 'recreation index' of Chinese cities was released recently. Beijing was ranked fourth place with a score of 40 – higher than other major cities including Shanghai and Xiamen.

The survey and report was researched and compiled by China Tourism Research and four factors related to 'recreation' were considered in the final ranking of the cities. Sanya of Hainan ranked 1st with a total score of 56; Lijiang and Shenzhen followed closely behind in second and third places respectively. Beijing was ranked fourth place. Shanghai, Xiamen, Guilin, Hangzhou, Qingdao, and Suzhou were ranked fifth to tenth places, in that consecutive order.
