On November 4th, Star Cruises (one of the world's top three cruise companies) will launch a new route from Sanya to Vietnam. Sanya will also become the "official" homeport for this cruise route. Star Cruises will use a 13-story tall "Aquarius Star" ship for the route, which has 765 rooms, a mini golf course, an outdoor swimming pool, international cuisine restaurants and other entertainment facilities.

The current route schedule runs from November 4th through March 30th of next year, with a total of 62 voyages, which will depart Sanya every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday for Da Nang, Halong Bay and Hue in Vietnam. Passengers have their choice between a four-day two-night trip and a four-day three-night trip. The tickets for the route's maiden voyage have already been sold out, but tourists can now book tickets for cruises beginning in late November. Ticket prices range from 2,100-3,000 RMB, and include food, housing and entertainment. Port construction fees, visa fees, and travel expenses in Vietnam are not included.
