Metro Line 9 will run from Fei Er Ling (Auto City) and join the north extension of Metro Line 3 at Gao Zeng in Baiyun District via Feng Sheng Avenue, Nong Xing Lu, Guangzhou North Railway Station, Xiu Quan Avenue, Hua Guo Shan Park, Gong Yi Lu, Hua Du District Government and Ying Bing Avenue. It will cover 19.8 kilometers.
It will begin operation in 2012. By then, it will take just one hour from Auto City to downtown Guangzhou.
