A restaurant run by robots opened on June 21 on Harbin’s Zhongyang Avenue. The restaurant is controlled by 18 types of robot “workers”, including dumpling-making robots, robot noodle chefs, stir-frying robots, waiter robots and bus-boy robots. The robots vary in features, are 1.3-1.6 metres tall, have 10 different facial expressions and can speak simple statements. They are equipped with ultrasonic detection devices to prevent collisions with guests and other obstacles.
Getting there: Take bus 2, 53, 113, 114, 126 to Zhongyang Avenue
