“Ridiculous Prices” Reduced at Chongqing Airport
Aug 06, 2010 By eChinacities.com

A serving of pasta costing 68 RMB, and 50 RMB for an hour's worth of net surfing?! For some time, high prices have plagued travelers at Chongqing Airport. Starting July 18th, the prices of retail goods and dining have been adjusted to more reasonable levels. A bottle of green tea is now selling for 2.5 RMB, Coke is 2.7 RMB per bottle, and a business lunch set menu is 20 RMB. It is reported that the price tags for merchandise and services offered at the airport have also been reduced, in some cases by as much as 30% of the original price. If customers continue to encounter “ridiculous prices” when purchasing goods at the airport, they can file a complaint with airport customer service (023 6782 1594).
