Pricing Policies to Benefit Local Residents
Mar 04, 2009 By eChinacities.com

The Guangdong Price Control Administration will implement several pricing policies in 2009 designed to lower costs for locals. The policies include:

The government will regulate property management fees, implementing a 'menu-like' model to establish the amount to be billed.

The government will promote low-price bus tickets, and form a supervisory committee to regulate taxi fees.

Many parks and museums in the city will become free of charge or reduced in price to promote leisure tourism in the province.
Fees for digital television will be adjusted or lowered.

Tolls will be reduced temporarily when expressways are partly closed for road work.

The government will subsidize low-income residents as the CPI (Consumer Price Index) rises.
