Pillars of National Unity Removed From Tian'anmen Square

On the early morning of Dec. 3rd, the 56 national unity pillars were moved out of the Tian’anmen Square and will settle in the Olympic Green by the end of 2009. The pillars, representing China’s 56 ethnic groups, were installed at Tian’anmen Square for the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.
