Photos of Scruffy ‘Beggar’ Buying iPhone 6 Go Viral
Jan 14, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Photos of a scruffy-looking man who came into a store to purchase an iPhone 6 have gone viral as netizens mused whether or not he is in fact a beggar.

The man entered Wanshun Mobile Phone Store in Wenzhou and asked to buy an iPhone with a large screen. The salesman on duty at the time, Bao, showed the man an iPhone 6 plus and an iPad.

The gentleman then checked his wallet, saw he didn’t have enough money and left.

Photos of the man were uploaded and people and shared around the Chinese web, despite the fact that the exchange was entirely unremarkable apart from that the man’s appearance was kind of scruffy.

The excitement over the photo is probably due to the fact stories of rich beggars making much more than the average white collar worker have been circulating for years; the most recent of which occurred just last week when the China Daily wrote about a beggar who was caught mocking a security guard for his low pay.

A supposed "beggar" came in and did NOT buy an iPhone6 because he DIDN'T have enough money. Wow... that's really newsworthy.
