Flight delays in China (a common affair) are known to bend the nerves of many to say the least. However, passengers stuck on board a plane which had been waiting on the runway for three hours on June 6, had their qualms appeased in the classiest of ways imaginable.

A quartet of musicians from the Philadelphia Orchestra, who performed in Beijing later that evening, got up amid the restless crowd and plated an impromptu mini-concert. Passengers were quick to forget they had been waiting helplessly for hours and were immediately charmed by the beautiful performance, which can be seen here.

The quartet consisted of violinists Juliette Kang and Daniel Han, violist Che-Hung Chen, and cellist Yumi Kendall.
