Peking University Statues Get Masks for Current Airpocalypse
Feb 25, 2014 By eChinacities.com

The last five days have seen China’s capital covered in a blanket of haze, and it’s beginning to get to people.

In protest of the appalling air quality, students at Peking University in Beijing have started a campaign called ‘Let me put on your mask for you’ by putting face masks on all the statues on campus. So now we have famous historical figures such as Cai Yuanpei, Li Dazhao and Cervantes all prepared for the terrible air quality.

The students responsible, all from the universities psychology department, have announced that they are doing this to get the attention of the authorities in the hope that something will be done about Beijing’s air quality.

nothing will be done in this country where making a fast buck at the expense of a few human lives is of no moral concern. the mask is a nice touch though.

knowing their luck - the students will be punished by the staff. And what is worse, there will probably be students who aid in identification.
