According to the People’s Daily, 140 flights were either cancelled or delayed at Dalian’s Zhoushuizi Airport on July 27 and 28 due to thick fog and low clouds. As a result, almost 10,000 passengers were affected.
Some passengers were so unhappy at the delays however that they took ruling in their own hands, with eight passengers aboard one flight refusing to get off the plane and demanding legal action after being told it was cancelled and couldn’t take off. Police soon arrived on the scene to calm things down and the unhappy passengers gradually left the airport.
