Passenger Somehow Deploys Emergency Slide after Plane Lands, Costs Airline Big Bucks
Dec 10, 2014 By eChinacities.com

China Eastern airlines flight MU2331’s dramatic entrance at the Sanya Phoenix International Airport on the evening of December 8 cost the airline big money in delays and repairs. After the plane landed, the emergency slide popped up from the plane’s emergency door. The incident was reportedly caused by a passenger who was perhaps confused on how to exit the plane correctly or really wanted to be first in line out the door. Luckily, there were no casualties in the slippery situation.

The airline lost over 100,000 Yuan because the passenger somehow was able to release the emergency slide. Take-offs and return flights were delayed for the plane in question, which definitely increased the amount of cash the airline lost that day. The plane and its slides and doors must also be rigorously tested and inspected.

Experts said that the crew should also clarify which doors on the plane can and cannot be opened and when to open an emergency door. Well, yeah. Maybe don’t press the giant red button that says “Emergency Only” when the plane is already on the ground?

Some Chinese people (not all just some) seem to act like bad 4-year-olds. They getting into everything, touching things they shouldn't, going places they shouldn't go, hitting people, cutting lines, throwing litter, talking loudly and generally not knowing how to behave. Who is responsible for teaching them how to behave in public? Parents? Schools? I wonder if they even know their behavior is bad or maybe they just don't care. There are other Chinese people who are the exact opposite and are some of the kindest most polite people I have ever met. ....and it is a long way to the ground if you open the wrong door on a plane!

What is he doing opening any door? Even if it wasn't an emergency exit, why was he opening it? Only in China.

One thing I have seen the most annoying is that when the airplane lands, suddenly the passengers rush to the door as if the airplane is going to fly away in seconds and if they don't land quickly all will be lost. It's totally wrong, I mean what is the rush ??? why be in such a hurry while you can wait for just 10 more minutes until the doors are properly opened and then one can leave appropriately. I have seen this in China the most !!!!

What about them turning on cell phones immediately (when touching down) - or, not turning them off promptly when preparing for take off?

LoL... Experts say? What "Experts"? In addition to the instruction manuals and the big red button that says "Emergency Exit", the flight staff also give demonstrations and explain how to use the craft's emergency equipment properly before every flight. NOT ONLY THAT - If you sit in the emergency exit seat, they will personally ask if you feel you are capable to handle the act of opening that said exit and explain its use. This is just a moron doing what they do best... causing huge delays and recklessly endangering themselves and others.
