Passenger Security Checks Implemented on Shanghai Subway

Shanghai started to implement security checks on passengers at 31 subway stations using 60 X-ray scanners on Jan. 4th. The security check currently covers a total of 43 stations and will extend to all stations in Shanghai by March 2010. Moreover, the number of security inspectors was increased from 2,000to 6,000.
