Parents Block Customers to Son's Shop in Passive Aggressive Fight over Marriage

Customers of a snack shop in Xianyang, Shaanxi found a surprising sign on the closed store last week: “My parents have forced me to suspend business. Please forgive me for the inconvenience.”

The sign was a part of a family feud between snack shop owner Li and his parents. Li is an unmarried 30 year old busy running his store in Xianyang. His parents wanted him to enter a “forced marriage,” and traveled from their home in Zhouzhi to Xianyang in order to close down his shop to protest his refusal.

His parents came to Xinyang without telling Li, and stood at his shop's door to block customers from entering. Store manager Li Bo said that more than 20 customers were blocked by the owner's parents. “The parents of the shop owner were turning down all of the customers,” said Li Bo.

When Li Bo told his boss Li what his parents had done, Li posted a sign on the store reading, “My parents have forced me to suspend business. Please forgive me for the inconvenience.”

“Li's father saw the 'parents forced me to close' notice on the shop door and got very angry. He took a stool and smashed the store's cash register,” said Li Bo. “Customers had no idea what was going on, I think they were scared off.”

Simple lesson from this guy, when your parents are ignorant control freaks never ever tell them where you work or live.

Stiggs

A guy with no income because he just got put out of business by his idiot parents isn't much of a marriage prospect. It won't help him much in providing for them in their old age either. Enter into a loveless, forced marriage or face being bankrupted then guilt tripped for having no money.. way to ruin your son's life Dad. Hope whatever face you think you got was worth it.
