Police in Hunan Province seized over 70 kg of drugs of which 50 kg was methamphetamine in a raid at the end of last year, alongside a gun and bullets, Shanghai Daily reports.
The raid was the result of a three-month-long operation investigating a drug gang in the central Chinese province. The suspects were transporting drugs from Guangdong Province to Hunan and selling them in cities such as Changsha and Shaoyang.
20 people were arrested in connection with the investigation after police received tips that the leader of the gang was planning to travel to Guangzhou in order to purchase more stock.
