According to information released during a press conference which discussed foreign investment in Shanghai in 2012, there are now over 400 regional headquarters of foreign companies based in the city.
The figures mean that Shanghai is now Mainland China’s top city for hosting regional headquarters for foreign companies (including foreign investment enterprises).
At the end of June 2013, there were 275 foreign investment companies in Shanghai; 424 foreign company regional headquarters, and 359 foreign research and development centers based in the city.

If they're keeping up with the news they'll have the sense to move them to Malaysia or Sinagapore.
