Oct 08, 2013 By eChinacities.com

It is well known that during the October holiday China’s most beloved tourist spots become centers for crammed mayhem and this year it was no different. It is estimated that over the week more than 31 million people visited 125 of China’s tourist cities and scenic spots. This is a 6.8% increase on last year’s numbers.

And does it bring in the money?....Oh yes! It is estimated that 1.6 billion RMB was made from ticket sales alone. Well happy birthday People’s Republic of China, that was quite a cheque in your birthday card.
