The annual race will be held on Jan. 1st, 2010, to celebrate the New Year in Xining. The competition includes individual competition and group jogging. In addition to local residents, foreigners and senior couples will also take part in the event. The contestants will start from the square in front of Xining Gymnasium at 10:00 and run through Xi Da Jie, Dong Da Jie, Dongguan Dajie, Jianguo Lu, Qiyi Lu, Changjiang Lu, Wusi Bridge and Huanghe Lu before returning to the gymnasium. From 10:00 to 12:40 motor vehicles will not be allowed to enter the mentioned areas.
