The Olympic Park will resume security checks from Oct 1. Those who carry bags will need to go through the checks, the administrators of the park said on Tuesday.

A three day party will be held at the southern Olympic Green for visitors. The organizers also opened nine car parks and six bike parks and increased the number of toilets to 647, in order to accommodate the predicted 200,000 daily visitors.

The Beijing exit and entry administration said they will be on holiday from Oct 1 to Oct 8 and citizens are advised to adjust their agenda accordingly.
