Old Man Falls, Promises Crowd, “I'm Not Going to Extort You”
May 14, 2015 By eChinacities.com

A 74 old year man fell on the station platform of the Shenyang metro during morning rush hour. Yan, the elderly man, was pushed down by crowds in the station. A woman named Lu immediately rushed to his side, knelt down next to him, and gave him her purse to use as a pillow. Metro staff called for help, and put some extra clothes on Yan to keep him warm.

As Yan lay down on the ground, he told those surrounding him his name and age. He then tried to comfort those with lingering anxieties about his fall, saying “I have insurance, I'm not going to extort you.”

Yan was soon taken to a nearby hospital on a stretcher by emergency personnel.

Garbo

No foreigners would help him after what happened to that Canadian woman.

The man was pushed down by rush hour crowds. This sums up the Chinese attitude perfectly. No respect for anyone but themselves. Unfortunately that's just the Chinese way. Nice to know there are good people like Ms Lu around.
