Aug 11, 2011 By eChinacities.com

The Overseas Chinese Town Company’s “Happy Coast” commercial project began trial operations on August 9th. Happy Coast will have many high-end restaurants, bars, and entertainment options. These will include China's first five-star flagship movie theatre, the first high-end "commercial and cultural activity" Creative Exhibition Center, the first coconut tree and sandy beach themed park in the city, and other high-end boutiques.

It is reported that during the Universiade, phase one of Happy Coast will open and play a supporting role in the city's tourism, catering and entertainment-related receptions. After the Universiade ends, Happy Coast will be open to the public and phase one should be completely finished by the 2012 Spring Festival. The second phase of Happy Coast, which will include a shopping center, spa themed hotel and apartments, is scheduled to open by Spring Festival in 2013.
