Confusing Chinglish signs have always been a problem in public places, puzzling and even amusing English users. Recently, heads and leaders from ten major commercial circles have decided to correct improper English signs in the city. It is agreed that at least 90 % of the English signs in Shanghai will mean what they intend before the Expo. Visitors may well expect to see better signs in a better city.
