No Beggars or Black Cabs: Beijing Vows to Clean Up Tourist Spots

The Beijing Tourism Development Committee recently announced that they are going to crack down on unauthorized merchants, tourism advertisements, beggars, illegal tour guides, ticket scalpers and tour guides who use megaphones around the Forbidden City.

Authorities will also be cracking down on black cabs, illegal tour guides, and illegal advertisements promoting “one day tours” around the Summer Palace area, and plans to investigate peddlers of fake goods.
