According to Jiangxi Public Security Department Exit-Entry Administration, nine expats in Jiangxi Province (eight in Nanchang and one in Ganzhou), have obtained permanent Chinese residence permits. Statistics published by the Jiangxi Bureau of Statistics, state that there are currently 3,097 expats registered in Jiangxi Province, among them there are 677 Indians, 408 Pakistanis and 212 Americans.
