Aug 31, 2010 By eChinacities.com

A new underground mall opened for business August 28th at the newly renovated Shiliupu Wharf on the Bund. The wharf itself reopened to the public on the same date after being closed for renovations. At 10:00 on August 28th, the Qiangsheng Ferry (manufactured by Shanghai Qiangsheng Ferry Company) began its first trip, carrying nearly 70 tourists on board. There are over 30 different ferry rides everyday from the Shiliupu Wharf – they mainly travel the distance between the Yangpu and Nanpu bridges.
The underground mall at Shiliupu has three floors. Two floors hold different shops and eateries, and the third floor is a parking garage.
