New Revelation: Cisco Systems Inc Responsible for China Hacking
Jun 17, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Former CIA employee Edward Snowden has revealed that Cisco Systems Inc’s controversial “Prism” program has been used by the US National Security Agency to monitor Chinese internet networks and computers.

Cisco has allegedly been involved in the monitoring of China’s government, customs, postal, finance, railway, civil aviation, medical and police sectors among others. Prism was also being used to monitor networks in China Unicom and China Telecom as well as other telecommunications operators.

Cisco makes over 1.6 billion USD from the Chinese market, 30% of their total profits. Given the recent revelations involving Edward Snowden, their business in China may suffer.

I am a spokesperson for Cisco and you can attribute the following to me: "Prism is not a Cisco program and Cisco networks did not participate in the program. Further, Cisco does not monitor communications of private citizens or government organizations in China or anywhere in the world. We sell the same equipment globally, including both in China and the United States, with no customization for purposes of such programs. Less than 5% of Cisco’s current revenue is from China and our profits are less than that." John Earnhardt Director, Communications Cisco San Jose, CA, USA @urnhart on Twitter

China is going to be a dick about this and play the poor widdle hard done by nation again and the sheeple will lap it up in a bout of anti meany nations madness and demonstrate to the world again how erratic and unstable China is.... This whole spy issue is defiantly bringing to light that governments are slowly taking rights away from countries that actually have them though. This is not just a US China issue but who does China have to please? It's people.....
