Construction of the Shanghai-Nanjing Chengtieyuan district station, Xinqu station, Yangzhuhu station, Kunshanhuaqiao Station and other main stations will be completed by the end of March 2010. After the Shanghai-Nanjing inter-urban train line is finished construction, trains will be able to reach a speed of up to 300 km/hr. In accordance with this speed, journey times from Suzhou to Nanjing will take about 60 minutes, and from Suzhou to Shanghai journey time will only take approximately 15 minutes. Because the shortest gap between passenger trains is three minutes, return fare prices for inter-urban lines between Suzhou and Shanghai, Suzhou and Nanjing, Suzhou and Wuxi, Changzhou and Zhenjiang will be the same as fair prices within the city.
