New Property Purchasing Measures Affecting Women’s Dating Criteria

Beijing’s newly issued 15 measures for tightening real estate purchasing (“Beijing Fifteen rules” for short), have not only impacted the real estate market but have also begun influencing women’s criteria for finding partners. According to reports, some women in Beijing have now made “having five year tax payment proof” one of their criteria for choosing a partner.

Under the new rules, non-Beijing people are required to produce documents demonstrating local tax payments over the past five years if they want to buy property in the city.
