A new must-see attractions list including 16 sites came out following a poll in which 14 million Netizens took part. The attractions are the Palace Museum (or Forbidden City), Beihai Park, Summer Palace, Lugou Bridge, Bird's Nest (or National Stadium), Shichahai Lake, Wangfujing, Happy Valley theme park, Zhoukoudian, the Ming Tombs, the Water Cube (or National Aquatics Center), the National Center for the Performing Arts, widely known as “the Egg”, the Great Wall at Badaling, Temple of Heaven,Tian'anmen Square, and the old Summer Palace.
