On September 1st, the new “Hefei Tong” IC Card was officially issued to the public. The difference between the new card and the old one is that the new IC card can be used anywhere that has China UnionPay POS machines, not only on buses or in certain supermarkets. Locals can apply for the new “Hefei Tong” IC Card at the Hefei Tong Customer Service Center (454 Huaihe West Road), Bus Group General Service Hall and Administrative Service Center of Anhui Province (the crossroad between Ma’anshan Road and Taihu Road).
