New Cross-Sea Passageway in Dalian to Cut Commutes by One Third
Jan 10, 2011 By eChinacities.com

Work on a new cross-sea passageway in Dalian will be launched in 2011. At presents, apart from the highway and some state auxiliary roads, Dalian’s only other route between the development zone and the urban area is the 10.92 km long Zhengxing Road, causing severe traffic congestion as a result.

After the completion of the cross-sea passageway, the vehicle distance between the main city and the new city will be shorten by one third.

The new passageway will begin at Huangbaizui (黄白咀) located in eastern Donghai Park; it will then cross into the Dalian bay area, to Xihaitun (西海屯), Tongniuling in the development zone. The total length of the passageway will be 23.748 km.
