Have you experienced problems when calling up in case of emergency? Beijing’s 110 emergency police number is now available in multiple languages. Foreigners living and working in Beijing can now use English, France, Russian, and five other foreign languages when calling the police.

The Public Security Bureau and Beijing Foreign Studies University will cooperate to make this happen. Multilingual volunteers from the university will provide real-time translation for front-line police officers on duty in order to aid foreigners.
