After two years, the new airport in Kunming has finally finished its construction phase, and is now in the process of being inspected. If everything goes according to schedule, it will begin trial operation in December. The new airport is located in Huishuitang, Xiaoshao Township, Guandu District 25 km from Kunming urban area. It will be the fourth largest airport in China, capable of handling the Airbus A380, which is the largest airliner in the world.
