For once, netizens actually had something positive to say about one of their fellow countrymen acting out of the norm.
On August 12, a netizen named “@不抠抠抠-抠” posted a photo of an elderly woman washing herself at the public fountain by Jianwai Soho. What made her stand out from all the other people dipping their feet into the water was the fact that she had brought a long a complete shower kit including a towel and shampoo. By the time the netizen spotted the scene, the lady had already finished washing her hair.
Despite attracting some online haters, many netizens praised the woman for saving water resources and money, while others called the act a “life skill”.
Some netizens clearly need to get out of the house more.
