The State Council recently announced the official national holiday calendar for 2013. The official calendar features a number of amendments from the previous schedule which was posted on our website here. According to the official schedule, January 1-3 will be a national holiday, but January 5 (Saturday) and January 6 (Sunday) will be work days. In other words, people will have to work for eight straight days following the three day "holiday". Netizens were obviously quick to react to the schedule, with the majority of people complaining about the senselessness of having a three day break followed by a tiring eight-day work week.

That really speaks poorly for the government: they can't even plan the holidays well in advance. Funny funny funny....
